Purchased SS/Platinum Yachtmaster
Hi all,
I purchased a SS/Platinum Yachtmaster. As I do with all Rolex watches I buy, I send them over to Rolex for an appraisal. They then tell me if it is real or not. Anyway, its going out tomorrow, but I wanted to see if you guys can also confirm it. It was 5400.00. Comes with all papers and warranty card. Has the triple lock and matching serials. Brought it to my dad, and he has been collecting Rolex's for years. He believes it is real. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you! |

Welcome to TRF
The watch looks good to me and the $5400 price price you paid is CraZZZy low on a V serial, so you did very good on it I hope you will get your appraisal back and they tell you that inside is as good as outside

Yea, I thought that too. However, the warranty card said it was purchased at J. Brown Jewelers (authorized Rolex dealer), so I already verified it there. I have four other Rolex's, so I can usually spot a fake. Though, rather be safe than sorry.

Same here. It was my first Rolex that I purchased recently. I had looked over and over again and this was the watch I went with. I wear it everyday and it never gets old. What I love about it is that it goes with everything. You can dress it up or down and it fits so many styles.

You buy a Rolex then send it in to be verified? - seems like a great way to throw money away.
It looks ok to me but the pix are not good . I would need better, detailed pix as this model is Folex paradise IMO.

Looks correct to me. Thinner Yacht-Master red writing with Rolex engraved on the bezel as it should be. Bezel looks free of dinks & scratches too. But there may be a couple of links missing. If they're not in the box, they are easy to get from Rolex & are very reasonably priced.
Congratulations. Please post some wrist shots when possible.
