Dallas tends to get better reviews than NYC.

I thought the SF one closed?

It's not on the site anymore:

If you are close by can you hand deliver your watch to the RSC and then pick it up when it's ready? I'm not too far from NYC and frankly enjoy taking a train into the city and walking around a bit from time to time. I tend to think I'd feel better hand delivering my watch when it needs service if that's possible.

From what I understand the one in SF is not an RSC as it's not owned by Rolex, however it's authorized by Rolex and has Rolex parts and training and can provide warranty service.

Correct. Independently owned but authorized by Rolex.

The Beverly Hills RSC is the one that closed.

Thanks for the confirmation on the SF center. I haven't used it but have heard good feedback on that center.

SFO RSC owner is top notch. Nice folks / great work . Have not had a service yet, but plenty of minor things. When the time comes...that's where I will go.

Their philosophy is that one watchmaker does the complete service - save for polishing - on any particular watch. This helps ensure some ownership and accountability.

You will have the LEC on the new crystal, but it will have an 's' on it to denote a service replacement.

My choice is the independent, but licensed through Rolex, San Francisco service ctr.
Main reason is they work on older Rolexes.

San Francisco is the best one. Giovanni is great and he understands our obsession. I am of coursed biased only because I see him every day with watch work and he has always exceeded my expectations.

I love to support local/small business so my next service and/or repair goes to SFO or to Jack at http://internationalwatchworks.com

You can't get a better endorsement from a more serious collector than that!

I had my Yachtmaster serviced with the (now closed) BH RSC twice and with Dallas once. I was reluctant to use Dallas, because I had walked my watch into the BH store, and was not looking forward to mailing my watch for a service.

I was very pleased with Dallas' service. The service technician assigned to my watch was very helpful, called me often with feedback, etc. I would use Dallas again.

beverly hills was my favorite but sadly it's closed now. dallas is good if you have a late model watch but if you have a vintage send it to new york. they are much more willing to work on exotic/rare watches than the others.
