Urgent helped needed! Oyster-Date 6694, cal 1225
All,
Need some urgent help here. Seeing a jeweler in NYC in about 2 hours, and will be looking at a 1970's Oyster Date 6694 mechanical/manual winding, caliber 1225. Reason for buying: Father use to have this watch, it was lost over time, and would like to surprise him with his birthday coming up. The asking price is $1300, can anyone comment? Thanks! |

Check if it has been recently serviced. If so, its a significant added
value; if not its an additional cost that needs to be factored in. |

Posting from phone...
Does not seem to have box/papers, so probably hasn't been serviced recently. |

All,
Picked it up! Great shape for 40 year old watch... Will take it to RSC NYC to "officially" authenticate it, and hopefully they'll do a light touch-up. Pictures to follow! Thanks for all the help. |

Your dad is going to be excited! If you have time to find a box that would be cool too!

Here are some not so good phone photos:
Only thing I don't see on the dial is the word "precision", thoughts? |
