"The Hulk" ?????

I don't like the ceramic LV's nickname (The Hulk). Does anyone else feel the same way? If so let's hear some alternatives. Personally I'm in favor of no nicknames but let's hear them if you have them!

Neither do I, I don't care for any of the nicknames given to Rolex watches and have never used them.

RIS memorize every model number and use them in everyday conversation.

Have to agree especially things like Rollie, Subby,Platty Blusey, and all the rest of the childish names. Just cannot understand why they cannot just call them by the correct name that Rolex gave them.I would doubt if they would walk into a AD and ask for a Platty Rollie, Subby Rollie, Bluesy, or a Hulky, or any other childish name, other than the correct name, or model number for that watch.

Yeah, I pointed that out in a thread earlier today. At the end of the day, once we are far enough removed from the 16610LV, I think people will simply call it a 'Green Sub'.

I'm sorry, but I love the 'Terms of endearment'

Bluesy
Blacky (what I call my TT black dial Subc)
Platty
Yachty
Panny (my Panerai)

I especially love 'The Hulk'

and an Incredible Hulk it is...

I think that many take these watches too seriously...

This hobby is about having fun!

It's not a religion, so it's not sacreligious. I like it a lot, but I don't worship my watch. I say call your watch whatever you want.

Apparently they can't put 2 colors on a ceramic bezel so there will never be a "Spiderman"

Where there is a will there is a way. If Ulysse Nardin can create the Jaquemart Circus Minute Repeater I have utmost faith that Rolex can find a way to create a semi-color ceramic bezel (Fingers Crossed). When that happens I will gladly call the GMT "Spider-Man" after I acquire it. Childish or not it's all in good fun .

I don't like Hulk either. I like "Greenie", even though I called the LV that too.

Yeah, all the nickname stuff doesn't appeal to me too much either. But, I do have trouble remembering all the actual model #'s so an occasional nickname does help with the poor memory!
