The right pronunciation :) How do u say it??
Hello there...
As you can see I have nothing better to do today but to polish my Rolex vocab... Over the years and in my travels to different coutries you get to hear the same model names with a different pronunciation specially some models like... For eg:- Submariner (Sab--marainer) ; (Sab-mareener) ; (Soob-mareener) etc Yacht Master (Yau-t Master) ; (Yaakh- Master) ; (Yaach- Master) Not that it matters to any of us... Just curious... So how do you say it... Im alrite with my GMT

I've heard numerous people pronounce the Sub as Sub-mare-iner; "mare" as a horse, and "iner" as the word in and... er (not a long i).
Yacht sounds like "yaht." GMT is easiest, isn't it? |

It cheeses me off when people say Date-ad-just....instead of datejust all one word....I have heard that alot....
I always say them as whole words....like....Datejust....Daydate.... I am not so keen on the plural "Rollies" either... You are right though...GMT is pretty hard to say wrong!!! Sub - Mah - Rinner would me the way I would pronounce...well...Submariner...

I think different regions say things different depending on the accent.
Here in the U.S. you have different accents depending on whether you live in the North, South, or West. Id just listen to the other local watch guru's to say it like they do, just so your on the same page. If you flew to the Southern U.S. you would have a funny time conversing with watch enthusiest. I say (Sub-mare-iner, Yot-master, Mil-gowse, and so on) |

Apart from in French it isn't G. M. T as you would pronounce in English it would be pronounced....... Jay. EM. Tay.
G and J is opposite way around!
