What would you do with one million dollars?

If you won one million dollars right now, what fun stuff would you do with it??

I would buy Aadil the platinum day-date with the glacier blue dial as well as that 18K White Gold Daytona he is currently lusting over.
And I would take my mom and my sister on a little weekend trip somewhere in the mountains and buy them some nice presents.
And I would buy myself a puppy <3
I don't know how much would be left over after that so I'll just stop there

What about you?

Great thoughts you've got there ashley, always good to hear that you would do things for others, and not just yourself

Unfortunately, I'm a little more selfish

I would buy a house/apartment, a car, a holiday and invest the remaining few hundred thousand $$$

There might be a few watches in there too

Well I'll wind up with only $500k after taxes.

$130k to pay off our house.
$110k to pay off my parents house.
$30k for my wifes new car.
$100k to to rehab our house (new bathroom, kitchen, plumbing, and windows).
$3k for the Tudor chronograph I want.

The $127k balance goes into the bank and invested.

There are no taxes in this hypothetical million dollars! Come on, live it up!

My wife will sadly shake her head, but to me that is living it up. I just want things simple and quiet. Work and the day is noisy enough. I like my private life simple and easy. If my house is paid for, my parents taken care of, and my wife and son happy, life is very good.

All I meant by living it up was spending the money that you gave in "taxes." It's very nice to see a down to earth family man
(I was going to say Family Guy but decided family man was the better choice )

I just can't think of what I want or need besides less traffic and less people. I need to get back to the country. This big city life is killing me.

Seriously though? Probably buy a big apartment in Viña del Mar on the coast of Chile and go hang out down there for a while...

I'd buy a red stapler.

Actually, I'd buy some property on an Island where I like to vacation.

Put it in the bank with my other million.

Then a trip to the AD, buy a half dozen watches for some friends, then fly around and deliver them

I see, the other $999,000 would go towards food & vet bills

Worst thing I ever did was move to Los Angeles.

My wife loves it though.

The things you do....

I'd ask for it in nickels and then pay my outstanding AOL bill from 1991.

Loose, unrolled pennies are NOT considered legal tender in quantities over 50. So for 51 or more coins you need to roll them or they are not a legal debt. The guy can keep the pennies and then STILL go after you for the bill!

Just so you know. I am a fountain of useless knowledge.

You can put it in the bank and write a million dollars worth of checks, one penny at a time.

Imagine the guy endorsing all of those.....

One meelyone dollars... Well, lessee...
Pay the bills off. With the other $990,000 I think I'd also buy a puppy... Mine would look more like this.
After that, I'd make an appointment for an employment exit interview making sure I included a few of these ...
Next I'd do a bit of traveling...
On returning, I'd seriously think about starting a business and finally... fill a hole that needs filling, finding the 'one'... Not necessarily in that order.
Does it sound like I want it all?
You're right...

In the US it is six zeroes. I know in the UK (and maybe elsewhere) they have thousand-million before going to billion. In the US we go to Billion after a hundred million.

I knew that, tosser!! Just messin' around with you fellas!!

I guess with a million, I'd move into a bigger house for starters, trade off my 1994 Mazda and pick up the new Anniversary TT GMT-II for myself a nice TT DJ on Jubilee for Zemina.

The rest would go straight into a nice long Term Investment.

Cheers - JJ
