Why do some Datejust's have a red date?

I think the red date stands out nicely but just wondering.

Thanks,

It's known as the roulette date wheel, and it alternates between black on even days, and red on odd ones. It's a feature that's been available for a very long time, and is available on current models depending on the dial

The Roulette Club!

You get two reds in a row at the end of a long month...

wow, what a nice watch! I take it this is silver face? Your pics are much nicer than what the dealers show and does the watch justice. I was always a little unsure about this design, not sure what it is called but it is nice... very!

Note that Turn O Graphs have all red date numbers without the black.

Wasn't that the original question, why do some datejusts have red dates?

Is the all red dates unique to the Turn-O-Graph?
