New subs
So Baron & Leeds on Maui has both the black and green ceramic subs. I thought the black was very cool but the green was just okay. The dial on the green sub was stunning but the bezel left something to be desired. I don't think the bezel is bad in and of itself but the dial is so amazing that the bezel pales in comparison.
In pictures the bezel looked " flat" compared to the dial and that holds true in person. If they could come up with a green gold bezel to accompany the dial I'd be first in line. |

totally agree dial nice but the bezel does not correlate at all its funny how all the peopel who have had a 116610LV try to show it in such a way as to hid the "lurid greenness" of the bezel - which in itself is telling. I dont think anyone loves the flat green bezel with that dial combo but some people just wont outright admit it and are kidding themselves in my opinion the green bezel is a letdown.

I agree. The new green Sub-C should have a black ceramic bezel. That would fit the deep metallic green dial perfectly IMHO.

And for between $600-800, one can change to a black insert.

I'd rather see a black dial with the green ceramic bezel

Man, the old 16610 could enjoy bezels at $100 or less a piece. Now we're talking about multiples of that, maybe 5 or 6 times. That's an expensive jump for an individual part that can also "shatter."

One of my AD's just called me to say that they have a black one in. I'm not on a "list" so I guess he was shopping it around. Looks like a double dip recession is coming here in the states (IMO). I have revised my outlook ()...I say AD discounts on these before Oct 1.

The new subs are everywhere, and don't seem to be selling well.
