This is by far the most beautifull chrono mouvement Patek offers.
Their inhouse chrono which you can find in the 5980 and 5960 is great but not not as nice as the CH 27-70

It's personal taste ofcourse but imo this watch is 100% perfect.
It looks great and feels great.
The size of the case is perfect (not too small and not too big) The combination of the silver-grey dial and the red gold case is wonderfull.

If there is one watch in the world who will make you forget all the other watches it must be this one

It all depends on person's taste. I love chronos but I like as a sport watch type than dressy. Also, too much gold.

Movement is beautiful though.

Not true. My Breguet ref 3237 uses the same base movement, and now of course Lemania doesn't exist except as part of Breguet. Patek did make many changes to the Lemania movement, not the least was changing the balance wheel and hairspring.

Of course, the displayed patek chronograph is beautiful. first, i'm not a great fans of chronographs. but let's talk calatreva, with a sweep hand(i think last year was last time they will manufacture the calatreva with a sweep hand....for the privilege of that sweep hand, costs about $16,000.00, as opposed to the calatreva without which(was) about $12,000 or $14,000.00)...so, let's ask this question? if you want a repair on a patek where do you go? who repairs em outside switzerland? how do they stand up to shock, water, temperature variations? i guess some of their movements are curved which is a real feat, and makes them instant collectables....but some of the watches in the $70K range are just downright ugly. so yeah, i'd like a calatreva with a sweep hand, but all in all, i prefer rolex because they do withstand a beating, hold their value, are readily repaired, and they do withstand all kinds of temperature variations and water exposures....so give me rolex.

It's a beautiful movement, but it has a major drawback - it's manual wind. I'm extremely lazy. I hate having to wind watches on a regular basis. My one manual wind (18K G Corum dress watch) sits in the drawer.

There are so many beautiful watches out there, even Seikos have some appeal imo.
Must say this is a real nice one although a bit out of my price range lol.

Reminds me of the 27,000 dollar tire change after a flat on a certain car make a friend was just telling me about... Good questions, I wonder what the services cost relative to my Rolex..

Wow!!!!! That is a spectacular watch!!!!! That dial is absolutely superb. And although there's a lot of gold, I think it is toned down by the leather strap.

If I sold my house, I could be wearing this and I wouldn't have to be worrying about a new roof, mowing the lawn, or any of the other "joys" of home ownership.

But in all honesty, I'm not a big chronograph fan as I have nothing to time but steaks on the grill. For my money, the PP Caltrava , the Ellipse d'Or, or the Nautilus would be better choices.

That said, I have to agree that the watch pictured is stunningly beautiful. Thanks for posting those pics.

too much gold but pp is the number cannot go wrong only problem with pp the size not many in 40mm to 42mm range alot of them in 36mm range thats the draw back may be people are small built in swiss he!he!

Can you play golf with it on? After you tee off, you can probably hear all the screws and jewels flying around inside the case. Nice but not as practical for my needs.

I have recently stated that I have yet to see a Patek that I like, but have to say this timepiece is beautifully crafted. The balance of proportions are just right & the display back has a right to be there.
