My wife picked out her first Rolex!
My wife has been so good to me, and our three little girls. I took her to the AD today, and let her pick out the watch that she deserved.
She selected the midsize DJ like the picture except she wanted the machine turned bezel. I was floored when she started to pick out her watch. I didn't think she paid attention, but she had an eye for what she wanted. It will be in Tuesday! I never thought she would ever wear a nice watch, but she took her time, and found a sweet watch. Freakin cool! |

I don't know if I should congratulate you or feel bad for you.
If she gets the bug....... it's gonna be really expensive with 2 WIS in the house. :r ofl::lol : My wife says it is a really nice choice. Last thing I need is her getting any ideas.

That watch looks amazing! I would have guessed it to be a Explorer not a DJ.

That's great Paul. My wife has a midsize too and she LOVES it. Can't wait to see her wrist shots. Hope the little ones are doing well.

Thanks guys!
I think it's 31 or 36 mm It's not the tiny one. Forgive me if I don't know the ladies models that well. It was smaller than the older mens DJ, but bigger than the small watches. As for her becoming a WIS......I'm perfectly fine with that. She has been distant with most of my hobbies until I became a bench jeweler. She then enjoyed the little things I would make for her. She has a Belair wrist watch that I got for her 2 years ago. She enjoyed it, but I change the battery once a year. She was very happy when I held the baby strollers, and let her shop. She didn't like the cyclops......She didn't like yellow gold....She wanted it simple, and not flashy. She liked the midsize, and white dial. She then picked between the pink lume, or blue. She liked the blue, but there wasn't one in the counter. It will be in Tuesday. Jenn also mentioned the engine turned bezel looking better than the plain, ot fluted. It just so happened that the one being delivered has the engine turned bezel. I don't have the specs because It wasn't there, and we made the purchase before the 8% price increase. The increase should be this week, and they were preparing tags for the change. I figured to get the gift before the increase. Tuesday we'll have a side by side pic, and a few from the AD. She told me she was "A happy wife". I'm glad to see her enjoy our hobby. |

Don't want to nit-pick Paul, but isn't the watch in the pic an OP which is 36mm and the midsize DJ would be 34mm? It would also have a date.
Just making sure, bro. Congratulations!

Non date model. I was watching 3 kids, and paid for it, after everything was settled on. The reciept is for a different watch, and they are doing an exchange when the real watch arrives. This was to finalize the purchase before the price hike. |

If you can't afford a Rolex then you have bigger problems. If you can afford it, get her what she wants and life will be great.

Paul,
When did your AD tell you that the price increase is going into effect?

I know what goes through a goung guys head!
I will have 3 teen brunettes talking on the phone, and cheerleading, and having spend the night parties for all their friends. I'll have to guard my house like Ft. Knox! Let's just say once my Yorkies grow old, I'm getting a pair of Dobermans. Next will to make sure the guys know I'm a crazy cop, who loves his girls. Guys are sneaky. I know this first hand. I'm going to have a constant game of cat & mouse going on. "Come near them, and your toast" type stuff |

BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Can't wait to see some wrist shots when it comes in. I'm still saving for my first Rolex.... but love the simple elegance of this one. I'm going to have to add it to my list of possibilities.
