What accessories/sweeteners did you get your AD to throw in?

An extra link is pretty much it for me. What did other people get thrown into the deal when you purchased your rolex?

I got a $50 gift certificate to A. H. Riise, St. Thomas (where I bought it), they also sell liquors, perfumes, and a host of other stuff. Also, a great canvas bag.

And then from Oscar, I got a bezel protector!

Redcade got a bottle of vodka, a winder, and a set of the AD's water glasses we had while we were shopping.

He would have taken the service reps shoes, and pen if she didn't wise up.

Well I got a discount too fellas; with accessories it evens out to around 25% off on my watches. I have too many AD watch winders now, so I had to move on to a TRF seller to get a deeper cash discount...

If they're even considering giving you free stuff, that I wouldn't want anyway, other than an espresso or some water, you're not negotiating hard enough.
How about a free winder? Yeah, no, how about another $200 off? Want a Rolex hat? Why? I'll take another $25...

In the UK I don't think many people get any freebies.....

I got a Cartier cleaning kit when I bought my cSub but that was only 'cos I'd got a water stain on the cGMT that I bought from the same AD a few months before.

I got an extra link, which as I found out was no mean feat. I really had to make a good argument for the "necessity." Actually, they will provide up to two links, if necessary.

My problem is two fold. One, I am losing weight and, two, cooler weather is starting here in NM. Even though our highs have been summer-like, the late evenings and early mornings can be quite cool.

I had to convince the AD that even though my watch appeared to fit when I visited him, my wrist would swell when it was warmer and I was exerting myself.

Before the link, the bracelet went from being just right to too snug. After the link, it's going from just right to almost too big.

I'm afraid that when real cold weather sets in and I lose even more weight, I'll have to ask him to remove the link.

Of course, in the Spring, it will have to be put back in.

Rolex bracelets, even steel ones, are not cheap, so I guess I can see why they aren't as liberal with them as more affordable watches that often come with 8"-9" bracelets.

Actually, he was pretty nice about it, but it was clear that he wasn't going to cough up an extra link or two, just because I wanted them. I had to demonstrate a need.

I also got a nice gift bag.

I was given a Rolex polo shirt when I got my SS Daytona from the AD in Nassau (John Bull). Nice people.

If my manager has been over to France recently, then we'll give out a bottle of champagne with a big purchase. Unfortunately, Rolex provide UK ADs with very little in the way of hats, shirts and other merchandise, and with Rolex branded watch winders at £350 a pop, it doesn't make sense to give those away either. If the person is interested, I'll dig out some magazines, but that's about it unfortunately.

A discount. They originally mentioned a winder but they were talking much less of a discount then.
