This one's quite funny.....
.....check out the spiel from the seller
I can't make up my mind if he's FD or lost the plot. If the watch was unused for a while, how a about giving it a few winds? DUH! The Jeweller he took it to must have seen him coming 3 links taken out of the bracelet to fit him. Must be really skinny! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Rolex-Submari...QQcmdZViewItem |

I think its fake, anyway...
1. You can see the holes on the side of the lugs. 2. The hologram doesn't appear to have a number on it. I realize it can wear off, but he said he rarely wears it. 3. The hologram is not centered on the caseback. I'm pretty sure Rolex is picky about applying that sticker. If I'm wrong on any of these points, let me know as I am still a newb at all this. |

4. The clasp looks wrong as well (the indent for the safety looks oversized).

Yes, you guys are right. I've little doubt that its a Folex. It amazes me how many bids these watches get and how many suckers there are out there.
Warning to any newbies here.... please be careful when buying pre-owned and stick to very reputable sellers only. We don't want anyone here ending up like the succesfull bidder of this one. |

also, the seller does not disclose the biders I.D. that makes me feel that the seller maybe a buyer as well to push the $ up!

Just the fact that he says he bought it in "Times Square" should be red flag enough to scare off any would be buyer. The bids are over 2 grand already. Poor bugger that gets that watch.

The clasp is all wrong for a sub (no divers link extension and the adjustment holes are punched wrong).
I've emailed the seller. No reply as yet!! |

Agreed FAKE!
Also look at the dial. The "L" in Rolex should be centred under the coronet. It's too far to the left. John. |

I got a reply from the seller:
The watch is still at the jeweller so he is withdrawing it and closing the auction. Hopefully the chap that bid +$2000 for it still has his money! |

As I am in Aussieland I contacted this guy and asked him if he would send it to my AD in Adelaide for a COD pick up after authentication.
He said "Hi, sorry, just looking for a simple sale. Thanks for looking"! Says it all really |

I wonder if the guy was duped when he bought it, then later realized his mistake, and is trying to pass it off on someone else?
