Chevrolet Gold Datejust award watches from 1987
Hi All !
New member and first post. Long time Rolex owner too. I was recently shown a pair of gold Rolex watches. His and hers. A Chevrolet Dealer owns them. They were issued to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee anniversary of Chevrolet in 1986. They have special gold dials with the Chevrolet bowtie and diamonds. They also are engraved on the back with the Jubilee Bowtie logo. Boxes also have a Chevrolet award badge mounted on the inside lid. They have all paperwork and he also has a list of all of the dealers who were awarded a set. very interesting watches. Never seen another set. Anyone have any additional information on this special watch set ?? The watches were presented in April of 1987 at the Westin Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio. |

Those end links look funky, but overall that is a pretty cool looking face.

Yes, the photo creates the illusion that there is daylight between the case and end links, but it's just a reflection from the filled area. That area is actually smooth gold. Sure looks strange in the photo though. Had to look at the watch again myself !! |
