Advice on Valuing this AirKing?
I've never owned a Rolex before however the AirKings have caught my eye and I would like one as my daily. I came across the following and I'd like some help valuing it. Any input or advice on what to ask or look out for would be greatly appreciated as I am new to the Rolex world.
Details: Recently serviced, comes with box and tags circa 1980. |

Spoke with him again and he's willing to meet up with me at a AD to verify authenticity as well. So I'm not concerned about the watch being a fake. Asking price is $1600 Canadian so your estimate seems to be very close.
Anyone else have thoughts on this? |

Thanks for the info. I came across this 72 Rolex Oyster as well (no box/papers) which is listed for $1695 so very close to the Airking at $1600.
Any thoughts on what the better buy would be? |

The Precision is handwind, I think it is overpriced. The Auto Air-King would be a better deal, I would not pay over 1.6k for it.

It looks to be in mint condition, and box & papers is a plus. I'd say don't pay any thing over $1795 for it!

Thanks for all the advice so far from everyone. Kyle L I appreciate the suggestion and I think I'm going to make an offer on the Air King tomorrow. I'll let post how it turns out and if anyone else want to post any additional advice it would still be appreciated. Thanks again everyone!

I also think the Precision is overpriced. I have bought a few Precision in the last months (good but not excellent condition) for about 800-900. If it is as in the picture, I'll pay 1000 but not more.
