Being a huge fan of NATO straps, I ordered a black one for my explorer and I believe its the manliest combination Ive ever seen

what do you guys think? Post pics of your watches on NATOs

The Explorer looks great with just about any strap or bracelet combination.

It certainly looks rugged and "good to go" in this configurations.

Here is my 6150 Explorer on a Bond Nato. I think the white dial Explorers probably look best on a Oyster or Jubilee bracelet or dark brown leather strap like Hillary wore his white dial on.

That dress explorer is really nice :D it reminds me of the one Hillary wore, I'd love to see it on a brown strap

Here it is on a brown strap. It is a Hirsch Leonardo, Principal, curved end strap. The dark area on the dial is just the shadow/reflection of my house against the sky, not a defect in the dial.

Last week when there was a post here showing some photos of the Hillary watch on an extra long distressed looking leather strap, I spent a few hours searching on Ebay to see if I could find a reasonable facsimile. I didn't have any luck finding one.

Beautiful leather strap, for a beautiful watch. I'm thinking of saving up for a nice dress explorer. Yours is the nicest I've ever seen

Thanks for the compliment on the watch. It has been in my family since new and was a daily wearer until about 9 years ago.

That was the strap I was referring to. The double row of stitching seems to be unique to this strap. Anybody know where I can find one similar? I can always distress it myself.

It`s called a Perlon strap. It`s braided nylon and very comfortable as it always insures a perfect fit.
I bought mine from Sweden, but I dont think they sell overseas.

Oh yes! That's exactly what I've been thinking for my new little no date beauty. I was looking for a decent NATO but not sure exactly where I should buy a decent one from. Any suggestions? I'm thinking black would be nice!
