Would you be buried with your Rolex?

An associate of mine and fellow Rolex owner told me that when he dies he wants to be buried with his Rolex on. I looked at him in shock as this sounded foolish to me. Your dead you don't need to know the time, time is over for you. I feel some one would take the watch or it would rot along with everything else inside. I just don't see the logic in this. He feels that others think as he does so we shall settle this foolish idea with a poll, would you do this?

And yes what about the cremation factor, do you just throw the Rolex in a box of ashes. It's like the prize in the Cracker Jack box.

When I'm gone, all useble body parts donated to others, then cremation, and my ashes spread over the Ohio River or the West Maui Mountains.
As for my Rollies, they will grace the wrist of my son and then, hopefully his son.

I voted wrong due to not reading/understanding the question. If it is the part of being buried where you are laid out in the coffin for the viewing and it is to be closed after then I say wear it and have the undertaker remove it before casket closure as was done with my parents... wedding rings, watches, jewelery it was removed at the last minute to give to the family. So, to take it underground then you then you are a materialistic SOB.
my 2 cents

I've always tried to be a good Dad and I wouldn't want the the kids to get hurt or arrested while digging me up! They can have them when I go. Bill

I would leave it for my children. If no children, then to some charity auction.

Nothing like thousands of dollars of totally usable asset lying in the ground. What are you, a Pharaoh? I'll send mine to JJ, he'll probably outlive us all, what with the mountain air and the sheep.

Not to cast aspersions, but that guy is a grade A moron (oh well, I guess that was a bit of an aspersion ).

When I am gone, my GMT will grace the wrist of my son like it did his grandfather.

I asked my wife about this and she said she'd kill me if I even considered it.

Either way, I'm a loser!!

My watches will be left to my son, daughter, wife and my best friend.

When I am dead, I AM DEAD. No need to bring it with me.

Later, date undetermined yet. To a sunnier place, with no taxes, no boss, no cold days.

I'm planning on grabbing a nice little cloud, yes. That reminds me - must brush up on my harp lessons.

No I'd rather leave it to someone that I love.... for them to wear or even sell if they ever needed the cash desperately!
