Today, I pulled the trigger on the GMT Master II...
Hey guys! I thought I'd share my experience with the watches. In the past two years, I have owned/flipped:
Explorer II - flipped in 2009 DJ 16234 - flipped in 2009 Seamaster Planet Ocean - flipped in 2010 Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch - flipped one in 2010 and selling another one in the next few days DJ 116200 - selling it in the next few days Here's the story. Couple of months back, I owned the PO and the Speedy Pro. I wanted to buy the GMT II Ceramic so I decided to sell both to fund for the new watch. Down the line, I regretted selling the Speedy Pro so I ended up buying another brand new Speedy. Then, I went on to buying a DJ 116200. In the back of my mind, I always wanted the GMT II but couldn't justify losing two good watches for two. But today, I finally pulled the trigger on a pre-loved GMT from one of the members on this forum. Now I have to sell my DJ and my one month old Speedy Pro. I am very excited to get the GMT but at the same time, quite sad because I'll be losing my Speedy. I think the DJ was a little too classy for me and I also did not like the fact that it didn't have any lume (roman dial). I think I'm crazy. I can't seem to make up my mind especially on watches. I'm hoping to keep this GMT for a long time. This time I really mean it. That's what I told me wife but she just brushes me off while giving me "THAT" look. This watch thing is quite serious. The morale of this story is to go for the watch you always wanted from the start. Never cut yourself short because eventually, you will regret it. My story is a perfect example of this.

This story sounds very similar to my own. And man, do I hate getting THAT look from the wife, I think mostly cause I know it's justified. Oh well, here is a pic of my GMT 2c in anticipation of your own. Much congrats.

I absolutely agree with this. BE PATIENT and stick to the plan. Wait for the watch you want on the Sale forums. It might take a week or months. Unless it's a rare vintage watch, it'll come around. Patience!!
