scratch on the crystal.
so i woke up this AM and put on my SD. looked down at it and found this "line" from about the 28min hash mark up to 7min hash. so i immediately began to scrub it with my finger and nail. not coming off. damn. im thinking back and it might have been from my jacket the last time i wore it.
kinda bummed about it. i know, i know. i shouldnt worry about it and just wear the watch. i do and its almost daily worn (minus when i work), the case itself has plenty of superficial scratches but when it involves the crystal it just throws me off it little. i guess this will give it more character, ha. sucks cause i have to look right at it tell the time so anybody have any suggestions to lessen this little problem? it doesnt need servicing nor do i want to spend the $$$, so i really dont want to send it in just for this. im wearing it as i type this. i do love my SD! sorry for the bad phone pic.

This post reminds me of when I found a small crack in the center of the crystal on my GV...bummed for sure. AD mentioned that it 'might' be replaced under warranty...said with a wink....so - disillusioned with the fragility of that green glass I traded the GV (AD took it in on trade which does not happen often..) and wonder if anyone else has had cracking issues on that model of green crystal.

I have seen such lines before on my old 16610LV and I got very nervous. These crystals are pretty "bulletproof" when it comes to scratching. It ended up being a water stain. Took a bit of rubbing and some windex but it came off.

Acrylic can be polished out fairly easily; do a search since there are numerous methods / products available and they have all been covered extensively in TRF.
