Deployant strap are thinner to fit the buckle.Tang buckle straps are thicker on the tang end.I much prefer the tang buckles.

Not sure I follow 44 Jewels.
The polished deployants get scratched - like any buckle. I prefer brushed. |

As to wear, the deployment straps get soft much faster than the regular buckle straps. Depending on your taste, this may or may not be desirable.
Personally, although I find Pannerai OEM straps to be of excellent quality, I have come to prefer after market straps. Big, long thick ones, with big fat buckles. Put a GSD Crazy Horse (I, II or II) on for just 10 minutes and you will know what I mean. Then save your OEM ones for dressy occasions or to enhance the resale of your watch when you are ready for a change. Cheers. |
