I was given a jar of this with my 149, but haven't tried yet. How permanent is this ink?

Yup this is a very nice colour - better than the old "Bordeaux". Watch it sort of change darker over time (like 2-3 days).
It's not a permanent ink. Only the new "Midnight blue" is permanent.

Great ink. I also like the OMAS in the background. Two great pens.

Kai, I did notice that the MontBlanc Bordeaux ink turned darker a couple of days later but I thought it was an illusion and I was seeing things!!!

Wow - that is nice.

Leo, I agree re Oyster - it has a very classic feel, with different shades of grey depending on stroke speed.

Anyone tried Emerald green?

I should of picked up some of that MontBlanc Racing Green(?)before they discontinued it because it's a great color and now you can't find it!!!

I bought an extra bottle when I heard it was to be discontinued. Yes, very nice dark green. Cheers,

I just used this ink for all my holiday cards. The color is perfect for the occasion. The ink definitely darkens over time. It looks a lot nicer after a day or so...
