Hi to all,

I know that there are several threads about "Should I get this or that" and that most of the answers are "Go for the one that speaks to you" or alike, but I found myself in a situation which has had me thinking for weeks. I had the opportunity to get a new watch among these:

GMT II C for EUR 4.500
SS Daytona for EUR 6.000 (maybe a little more)
SubC "Hulk" for EUR 5.000 (maybe a little less)
Milgauss GV for EUR 4.300

All are brand new and from an official AD.

For you to have an idea of the context, my current collection includes:

Sub TT Blue
DJ TT White Dial
Franck Muller Casablanca PVD Chronograph
Chopard Mille Miglia GMT
Tag Carrera
Breitling Airwolf Raven White Dial

Without wanting to bias your answer, from the alternatives I started liking the GMT but as I stared at the shops I saw the others and my doubt began. Actually, for you to see the level of disorientation I have, today doing some Christmas shopping I tried the JLC NS which I can get for some EUR 5.000 after discount.

I didn't asked, but think that after discount I can get it for around EUR 4.800 although I discarded this in favor of the GMT II C. My last attempt to decide was to compare one-to-one and starting to clean the options' menu.

GMTIIC is the most value-oriented and bang for the buck.

Although I can't say no to a SS Daytona....

Knowing myself (try-to-be rational guy) I arrived at the same conclusion, but in terms of "watches that speak to you" (Is there any pill for that???) the other three caught my attention in some way.

It seems to me that it doesn't really matter..

The way you are going, you will likely pick the others up over time too, so you may as well start anyplace.............

Walk in the AD, close your eyes, buy the gmtii and walk out..You will feel much better and will like your purchase. Dont look back

I may end up doing this... until next Christmas

I'll take a Milgauss as everyone has a Sub or GMT plus lots of fake Sub and GMT around

have you seen a fake Milgauss..... so noone will ask is this a fake if you wear a Milgauss

If money os no object, I would try to negotiate a price for the GV and GMT. If you can get anywhere close to the Daytona I would grab both. If not, I woudl grab the Daytona as it is a classic.

The only other point is that the list has watches with functions which are similar to your existing collection. The only exception is the GV. You may want to go for it as it is a little less common.

Those are already discounted prices (which I get from my friendship with a VIP customer). The fact that the GV is different from any piece in my collection is THE reason why I thought about it (despite liking it a lot). I can use it as a dress watch with a cooler look than my DJ TT. I'm 30 years old and the style of the GV appeals more to me.

I know someone with a fake Milgauss GV... according to him they're widely available for ~US$200 in HK.
