Is this a good watch?
I dont know much about Panerai but seems like something I would wear. I am a Rolex person trying to expand.

Same quality case and same movements that P uses so in that sense, yes, it is a great deal.

Just FYI, the collaboration between Ferrari and Panerai ended recently due to poor sales. Therefore the Ferrari pieces are drastically discounted.
The Ferrari line was never popular or well marketed and the collaboartion was not the best for both company. As long as you don't plan on reselling, the Ferrari pieces can be had for great price.

If you buy a $7100 Panerai, you'll lose about $1500 to $2000 if you sell it a year later. If he sells the $2900 Ferrari, he'll lose less money that in the Panerai situation above. For this reason, the discounted Ferrari is a better deal financially thanbuying a new Panerai. |

Only if you can find someone to buy it later if you sell.

So, if he buys it for $2900 and lists it for $1900 a year later, you don't think there will be buyers?
Of course SE PAMs go up in value but the regular production models will certainly take more than a $1000 hit from when purchased new. Like them or not, this is a good deal on a nice watch. |

Please define "good watch".
It is your hard earned cash. I wouldn't spend it on this fashion accessory. |
