Fliplock Bracelet

Just received a Submariner for Xmas. The fliplock bracelet is too tight and I'm trying to figure out how to expand it. The manual says to press the 'O' on the underside of the bracelet for expansion. I do that, but that's as far as I can get. It looks like the pins are preventing it from expanding, but I can't push the pins in to disengage it. Any advice would be appreciated. The Instructions are not very specific.

Only the new sub c has a micro adjustment. The "o" feature is to fit it over a wet suit. To make it fit properly you will need to take it to the store and have a link removed. To pull open the flip lock, push downward on the "O", the bracelet is not yet fully open. Continue to pull the whole bracelet out from under the buckle.

I find that by turning the link next to the link with the "O" 90 degrees, and push in, is easier to release than by pushing the "O" itself.

Once you deploy the diver's extension, you can press on the bracelet pin and adjust the bracelet out a hole or 2 on the clasp (if there is room). If you are already out all the way, or that is still not enough, you need to add another link (and possibly move the micro adjustment back in on the clasp). You can do this with a screwdriver yourself (1.5 or 1.6mm), or take it in for a quick service. Any AD can do a bracelet adjustment while you wait and change the micro adjustment in the old clasp for a perfect fit.

I had a similar problem. It takes a strong thumb push at the "O". Try doing it at an angle. Once that releases, pull out (it takes a little force) the extension. Then you will see the pin that can be easily moved with a fine pointed tool to a looser spot. If confused, go to an AD and they will show you how to do it.

I made a video. You'll need to press moderately hard until you break it in. Also, make sure you have all the stickers off your bracelet.

All great info and awesome pics. But like I said, if the bracelet is too tight the diver extension is not the solution. To use the micro extension holes on the clasp, you can use the back of a pin or just take it to the AD to move it one or two holes to the right. Good luck! Nice Xmas gift!
