Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph cv2010.ba0794
Hi All
I would appreciate members thoughts as to the quality and reliability of the Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph cv2010.ba0794 watch. How would members rate it and regard it as value for money? I have included a link below to the watch so members know which model I am referring to: http://slimages.macys.com/is/image/M...0.5,0&fmt=jpeg M |

The resale is not much compared to current prices which are out of hand. It's a looker for sure. dP

Cheers Dan, your thoughts are much appreciated.
Basically I am looking for a nice watch I can wear when I am out with my friends drinking or othewise would be a little concerned about wearing either of my Rolex watches. Having owned Omegas in the past and my Rolex watches now I can't bear to go back to a cheap watch. That said I am looking for something cheaper than a Rlex of course. So my thinking was this Tag (one of a number of possible options). As you say a nice looking watch, not cheap, but if it gets the odd scratch or little nick on a drunken night out it won't bother me too much. M |

For any TAG, I would recommend getting it pre owned... Because the resale value on these things are atrocious. The Carrera ia a beautiful watch in person. I was going to get one but then I got a speedy instead.

I have that exact watch, and I like it a lot. Bought it about a month ago and got 35% off at an AD (you shouldn't have any problems to get that sort of discount). Retail is 3400 but you can get it down to 2400 easily. There are a few things to be considered: it's a little heavy, looks a lot bigger than 40mm sport rolexs (mainly because it's got a thin bezel), and the bracelet is very thin considering the size of the case. Also, it's harder to adjust perfectly than Rolexes because it doesn't have an extender etc. I usually wear it with black T-shirts or dark shirts and it looks great. I also like the Speedmaster but the Tag looks better on me. |
