What was your daily watch before you got a Rolex?

Just curious what everyone else was wearing before they got a Rolex. What watch and how long have you had it?

I'll start. Mine was a Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay was impressed with the tech 4 years of remembering the time if the watch stopped after 3 days of inactivity. Has been reliable to no end. I've owned it for 12 years. Just need to get new spring bars for it since these ones are worn out. Here is a wrist shot.

Believe it or not nothing. It was my first watch owned -23 years ago. Prior to that I never wore a watch-so I guess I started out on the right foot--quite lucky!

I always wore a Swiss Army watch. I liked the original design that sells for about 200 bucks. I still have the last one I bought but it has not had a battery in years.

Me too!,,,bought it for $150.00 from on board duty-free cart on the way back from Japan. That was 1998.

I wore lots of Omega and Doxa watches before I got fully into Rolex. I'd had a brief fling with a Sub No Date several months before I actually got hooked into other Rolex watches.

My mainstay for over a year was an Omega Planet Ocean. Great watch.

Before these, I wore an LL Bean Field Watch for 20+ years. I still have two of them (one was sent for free by LL Bean when they could not fully service my oldest one). These are excellent beater watches.

Still have it. Paid about $500 for it in 1997 or so. Wore it on my wedding day in 2005 :-)

Omega SMP Pro. Ironically when i bought that there was only a couple hundred pounds difference between the Omega and a Sub Date. When I finally bought my Sub Date had to pay more than 1.5k extra! Bad timing.

don't always wear a watch but outta my 4 watch collection, the panerai 233 prob got the most wrist time. it's since been sold with the ceramic GMT gold/stain on its way which will likely take the 233's place.

For a couple of years I rotated between a growing number of watches to include Timex, Pulsar, Casio, Hamilton, ESQ, Citizen, and Invicta.

After I bought my Explorer, I virtually ignored all the others and since I bought the DJ, I've ignored the Explorer more than I should.

Mine was a Swiss watch by Jaguar. The car manufacturer is a different Jaguar. I recall Ford bought Jag, the car company. they pushed Jaguar, the watch company into a hole. It is no longer sold in the US, and I think you can only find it in Switzerland, Germany and Italy now.

I don't usually wear a watch that much before my first Rolex. My mobile phone tell the time for me. But if I worn one, 90% of the time was this Porsche Design Drivers Collection my ex-girlfriend (now wife) got me as a birthday gift without me knowing, while I was out test driving a Porsche 996 MKI GT3 when we were living in Melbourne. (didn't end up buying it as we made a decision to move to the UK not long after...)
