Is this a Real ladies Datejust 179160?

Hey

My fiancée is looking at this watch. Just wanted to confirm that this is the real thing.

Yes it's the "real thing" but with aftermarket dial and bezel.

Ohh does aftermarket dial and bezel make it less and takes away from the value?

The aftermarket parts reduce the value compared to a fully Rolex watch. On the other hand, it's probably a lot less expensive than a Rolex with similar factory diamonds. Lots of aftermarket diamond parts around, so if you're not a purist it doesn't matter. The only real issue is that Rolex will not warranty a watch that has been modified with aftermarket parts. Thus the offer of their own one-year warranty.

Can I still get it serviced by rolex? Or will they not touch it because it's modified.

the Corporate owned Rolex Service Centers will not service a watch fitted with aftermarket parts (except bracelets).

However, there are many, many good watchmakers who can and will.........

Henry, if you are new at buying Rolex I would not recommend eBay as your first choice. Either buy from a trusted seller here or go to your local AD.

Good luck!
