1978 SS 1680 5.6m
Here is my Sub. I wanted to show what an original unmolested "ghost" bezel looked like, along with the bracelet stretch, in case anyone was interested. I bought the watch in 1984 and have worn it alot. The watch is all original except for the crystal. It's been serviced 3 times by the same guys-not by a RSC.

Nice to see a 1680 in original condition. I actually love the white as much as the red 1680s.
Here's mine. |

The thing I find curious is that the hour "markers" are still so white yet the bezel has faded so? I know the watch is all original. I guess that other than replacing it there is nothing that can be done with the dent on the first link?
BTW I never polished the bezel. |

Exposure to sunlight keeps the tritium markers white. Throw it in the safe for 2 years and it will come out darker

Very nice looking 1680. I like the whites every bit as much as the reds.

Great watch. Nice to see that the "weathered look" is original and not some product of contrived foolishness done to "look cool". Thanks for sharing and "keepin' it real".
