Lurked here for awhile trying to absorb as much info as I could.
Walked into a reputable watch shop a few months ago and walked out with a 14060 no date sub. Too good of a deal to pass up, the best part is it was a little scuffed up so I didn't have to worry too much about wearing it everyday. My poor T-SAR has almost been forgotten since I got the sub. Pic |

Jumping in! Jonathan from Ottawa Canada. I'm in health care work wise, married with two sons, the older of whom is so highly into watches it isn't funny(he is fascinated by the movements, complications, etc). My favorite rolex at the moment would be my sub c ( also my only rolex) although I really like the look of the gold Daytona on leather. I found the forum shortly before I bought my watch while doing some research on it; I certainly have found it to be an interesting place to learn and share opinions. Although I do often think there is a bit too much emphasis by some on whether or not they will make money in the future on their purchases. The biggest problem IMHO of online forums is the difficulty sometimes in getting the correct tone to a posting-what can sound like a joke verbally will often come across as rude or obnoxious in print. Cheers all and thanks!

Hey All! I'm Chris and am pretty new to the forums, too. I am in healthcare down in Houston. I've had a TTSub (Blue) and a SD, which I've sold on these forums, leaving me with a TTDJ that I inherited from a father about 10 years ago. I hope to add another sport model (probably a GMT or SubC) within the next six months (although I haven't decided whether I'll get this one at an AD or on here...). Anyways, thanks to the more experienced members for making this a great learning environment!

I have been a watch enthusiast for many years, starting when I was younger with G-Shocks, Citizen and Seiko Divers. The first high value watch I bought was my Ebel 1911 BTR, I had always lusted after a Sub and then I found myself in the financial position to buy my first Rolex. After trying on several Subs I also tried on the Sea Dweller and totally fell for it. So after spending a sizeable part of my disposable income and a Google search..., here I am
The forum so far seems like a friendly and knowledgeable place that I think that I'll be happy to be part of for the foreseeable future. |

A couple of days later I pulled the trigger on my first Rolex and have been back on this forum every day since . It’s like my hot cup of coffee in the morning!! |

Got my first "education" about Rolex from a very knowledgeable salesman back in 1991 when I bought my first Oysterquartz, which I later traded up for a Thunderbird. This dude later became an area manager and then onto being a SVP for a large jewelry company. Lasy year a friend suggested I sign up on TRF and I've been a regular in here ever since, even now that I'm deployed. Terrific people here, vast knowledge, lots of humor and bantering. Bought two Rolex watches in the last four months from a terrific and reliable TRF seller.
Glad to be here. |

I did the same during my last deployment back in 2007. I've been through about three Rolex watches ever since then. IMHO, TRF is one of the best. |

I found this site just last year when I first thought seriously about getting my first Rolex. I decided to get the GMTIIC and I haven't looked back since.
I have since been to my first GTG, picked up a couple of books, and a few more watches. TRF is a wonderfull place to visit, where you can meet a number of real good people who have alot of knowledge about watches. Thanks TRF!!! |

I have been lurking around this forum daily for about the last two months. I tripped over it looking for info about servicing my watch. I have two a GMT that is my daily wearer for the last eight years, and before that my datejust that I wore daily for about 10 to 12 years. Now after finding this, it has made me want another, I have fallen victim for now want a deepsea, I would of never wanted it, if it wasnt for this forum.......

I am Roger from southern Georgia. I have always wanted a Rolex, 1. To show I appreciate the best and 2nd, well because it's a ROLEX. I started researching Rolex and came across this AWESOME forum. There is nothing better. I work in the IT field. I bought my new Sub-C from an AD after a few months of hanging around here. The next one(s) will come from right here on TRF! I learn something new everyday and look forward to visiting every night. There are some great and knowledgeable folks here.
Thanks Everyone! |

New to the forum as well, however I bought the watch first (gmt IIc) and via google found this great forum. The only problem is that I now want another Rolex!!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank the senior members of this forum for the great overall advice.

I'm Brandon from Palo Alto CA (just north of San Jose). After getting into watches a few years ago, I was drawn to dives watches and almost all of them looked like the venerable submariner. But at that point, $500 was WAY too much to spend on a watch. After many different dive watches, I took the plunge in December and picked up a Sub-C as a nice (but expensive!) Christmas present to myself.
TRF was my main resource for my purchase. Hopefully, I'll stay strong against the pull of a new Panerai (damn you Panerai forum!!) |

Dean from the South Bay area. I love TRF! Hopefully, I will be able to add to my collection of...1! (LOL)
I am learning a lot and "meeting" great people here. This is my last stop almost daily before I hit the hay.

Hi, I am Michael from Middle Tennessee and involved in the printing industry besides selling Real Estate. The watch bug has been around me for a while and when I got more serious into actually breaking down and buying a Rolex. I found this site and the overwhelming knowledge that is on TRF helped ease my worries and answer any question or reservation I had. I bought an Air King I must have looked for a good 7 months trying to find the right one. A few days after joining TRF I pulled the trigger and bought my first Rolex from right here on the site. I was a little nervous at first only having 1 post under my belt and getting ready to wire a large some of cash to someone I never met. The transaction went smoothly thanks to RobRobin and I could not have been happier. My first Rolex purchase was only 4 months ago and I'm now on my next prowl for a Sub 14060M with all tags, boxes etc.

I may be new to TRF, but old to Rolex's. Bought this ref. 6263 on September 1, 1978. That's 32 years ago.

I joined in April 2010 after being a regular on WatchUSeek before I was ensnared by Rolex. I had heard rumors that you had to be really serious before joining TRF, but I've found this to be an open and friendly community. I still favor using the search feature before I launch into a new thread that could be duplicative.
I started my Rolex fun with a Sub 14060M and have been through at least a half dozen in the past year. My currently daily beater is the black Sub-C. I come to TRF every day, multiple times. I really enjoy it! |
