Best new watch last decade?
So approaching basel, what were the best new introductions over the last decade? I would have to say the YMII. I don't personally like it but it was a unique movement and a totally new watch. After that the Milgauss. Old watch but new interpretation. I do really like this one. After that, maybe the larger size day date and president. Don't get me wrong. The new GMT II and Sub are awesome but still just a refinement vs a totally new watch. So what do you all think? And for basel what is the next milgauss and YMII? And no, an orange hand explorer II doesn't count. Annual calendar would be my pick....

The YM II, The Daytona with the in house movement, The GMTIIC, The Sub LV, and the DJ II.

Last decade? 2001-2010?
Surely the DSSD has got to be in there? Just on account of the specifications of that bad boy! OK I MIGHT be biased |

Another vote for the Deepsea!
Followed by the GMT IIc, Milgauss and then YMII. |

From a technical point of view, it has to be the YM II. But I just cannot stand its design, so my vote would rather go to the DSSD.
As for an upcoming new model at Basel..... It's a tough one to figure out what new model would Rolex come up with. Perhaps a Daytona II, with an enlarged case, but still without date. |

remake of the milgauss, preferably the white dial....elegant, sweet, unique movement, heavy, accurate, comfortable, and last, but certainly not least, that lightning dial

The YM II maybe all new design and the others like the Sub, GMT, DD and DJ II's just upgrades, nothing has really come out of Rolex except the Deepsea. Does anybody know anybody who has bought a YM II of any description ? I would love to know how many they have made and sold ! Elephant and white spring to mind.

With the upgrades and yes I said upgrades, the Sub C became nearly the perfect sports watch.

I assume you guys are talking rolex only. Therefore, I'd pick the ceramic bezels and the new deep sea. Movement wise the ym2 and the blue spring.
If discussing the industry as a whole, nothing from rolex makes my list... |
