Vintage Rolex Repair- Who To Trust?
I'm looking around for someone to send a vintage Rolex to, as it seems none of the local watchmakers have access to Rolex parts.
I have received responses from very few of the companies I have contacted and was hoping to get some insight as to who YOU would trust with your watch. Horologist.com "Antique Time" Has quoted me what seems to be extremely reasonable pricing on what I need done, but wanted some opinions before I just blindly pick someone to send me watch to. Thanks. |

I guess I should have asked waht you're calling "vintage", in this case. 30 to 50 year old Rolex are called vintage, but getting them serviced is not a special problem.

Definitely Bob Ridley of Watchmaker's International.
He overhauled these 2 old watches for me (as well as a few others):

He is. He restored for me one of the oldest know Wilsdorf & Davis (pre-Rolex) watches still around, and currently has my 1630 for overhaul.
