Does this Tudor Sound Right?

I probably should have done more research before I pulled the trigger, but I just got excited.

What has me now wondering is the serial number. I'm thinking the "8" is more likely a "B"? That makes sense right? That would put the Swiss Made and saphirre crystal correct.

i think you are right. cant go wrong for 800 bucks. so long as you like the look, you should be fine. harry

It puts my mind at ease that it seems to be a legit watch. Seems the more you research the issue of fake Rolex and Tudor, the more you get paranoid that every one is going to be a fake.

For me this is my first dip into the Rolex/Tudor pool. I eventually want to get one dated to the year of my birth, 1966, but this will be a good starter watch. My only other watches are a couple of Tag Heuer Quartz watches I bought new in the late 80's early 90's so this is all new to me.

Well I received my watch yesterday. It appears to be legit, I checked and the serial number upon real close inspection did start with a "B" and not an "8". Also the bracelet has a "W9", so assuming the Tudor bracelets follow the same coding as the Rolex, that would date it Sept 1995, which goes with the serial number fine.

Just two things that have me underwhelmed, and it's probably because my expectations were so high.

The watch feels kinda light. I was expecting it to feel more, well, heavy I guess. I'm surprised it is lighter then my Tag Heuer 2000 quartz.

And the bracelet is a bit tight and I don't see any screws to add additional links to it. Am I missing something? I don't have a real big wrist and the pins are set to the widest setting but it's still a bit tighter then I would like it to be.

i find that pretty much all my rolexes and tudors, except my sea dweller, feel quite light. especially when the bracelet is the folded material type.

look at it this way, you can very easily convert it into cash if you are bored with it. you should look at the retail prices of new rolexes; they are sickeningly high. 800 would likely be equivalent to the sales tax of two tone new rolex.you will likely make money on the watch on a trade-up.
