Where have all the photos gone?
I've noticed many posts here lately with links to fakes or suspected listings on ebay, but no photos of the item up for discussion. How about posting up a photo of the item that is being discussed so that everyone can see it. Many times, if it is listed on ebay, it is removed before anyone has a chance to see it.
Thanks in advance. JP

I think post #2 in that thread is most important as it enables us to better track and effectively report to ebay repeat offenders. All help is appreaciated and help with names and photographs is greatly appreciated..... |

Glad someone brought the subject of pictures up .The other day I have inadvertently included a copied and pasted report to Ebay about a fake in a mail to my direct superior . He was cool about it , but made me realize that this could have been included in a mail to someone else that may well not see the funny side of it .
I now only use my personal portable to roam TRF and Ebay . My computer being a Mac and using safari or firefox I just don't succeed to copy pictures from Ebay listings . Can anyone give me instructions of how to ? I'm on OX10.6 and have the latest version of Safari and Firefox installed |

Using Firefox, click on "Enlarge" on the Ebay listing, right click on the image, select "view page info", selct the "media" tab top of page, then scroll down to select the image required, click "save as" and thats it on your hard drive. depending on any auction type software used by the seller, you may be able to directly right click on the image and then choose save as, but generally one cannot do that on ordinary ads, typical of those used by scammers as they will not be paying for auctiva or other types of auction imaging software. This method should also work for IE. I have not yet found a way for Chrome. Hope this helps. |

In Firefox, if you click on "enlarge" and then select "copy image location" Then when adding to your post on Watchout, if you select the Link Icon, you then just right click in the HTTP:// box and choose "Paste" and then choose "ok" The image in question should then appear in your post. |

Thank you Michael .
Are you talking about doing this on MAC this way ? If so I must be doing something wrong . I only get a HTML file that will bring me back to the actual listing on Ebay . I can not separate the picture . I did talk to one of the more IT savvy people around me and he suggested to use Sea Monkey . Tried it and it works ! |

not directly from the listing page you are correct. however, if you click on enlarge the photo, you can drag and drop.

I use print screen and paste into an image editing package. Quick crop and it's done. However I will now use Micheal's tip - less faffing about!

Using Mac with Firefox all you have to do is highlight the enlarged photo and copy the eBay photo URL and then post it here on TRF. Easy as pie.
