Gone from excited to sad........:(

I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a 36MM Explorer I that I had planned to rotate on a black leather strap, a NATO and the SS bracelet but my wife just dropped the bomb on me. We apparently are going to spend about $30,000 MORE on some home improvements than I already budgeted. Love my wife's tastes but damn they aren't cheap!

Looks like I will have to suffer with JUST my Sub C for now Oh how will I manage? Seriously though, I really want that Explorer

I am sad.

We now know who wears the pants in the family
maybe its her subtle way of telling you to wait for 39mm explorer?

Well you already have the ultimate sub, and money to do home improvements, what more can you ask for. If you truly find sadness in your situation, it's time for a reality check.

No, I don't REALLY find sadness in this. In fact, my 2 year old had an operation last Thursday and she is doing fantastic so life is AWESOME!

I kinda like her. I think I'll keep her and be a patient little boy and get the watch later.

If she say you have the ultimate watch just tell her she have the ultimate kitchen already. The food will taste the same
with a new kitchen but you will better be on time with another watch.

You're lucky your wife tells you.

Mine just orders it and keeps me in the dark but that's alright cause she makes more cash than me on her full time job and she's a part time grad professor at NU. Did I mention I still don't know what she's doing with a guy like me.

Wow! If you could spend that on house repairs, what's a few G's on a Rolex?!

My condolences.

Perhaps this example may illustrate your potential fortune!

House in Chelsea, west London. Very expensive area, no space for extensions outwards.

People are tunnelling under their properties to build additional basement floors (sometimes 2 or 3 floors down! Cinemas, pools, car garages, bedrooms, the lot).

Average cost: £200k
Value added: £600k
Instant equity (as well as the benefits of living in an even swankier custom built pad):
£400k (to be realised profit)

= 4 free platty diamond masterpieces, perhaps some mad vacheron Constantine, or a couple of Patek sky moons perhaps!?

I wouldn't worry about the explored long term, your wife is making the right move here
