My 1st Pam.... 312...
Hi all, I'm new and just gotten my 1st Panerai, Pam 312 with a case I fell in love at first sight.... Chubby case which is thick and clumsy looking at first but a closer look will review it's curves... It's curves are so beautiful... I'm a rolex lover too but this case is just sweet..... May I share some pics as it's a real beauty.... Pls pardon the quality...
lastly a wristshot. ;) hopefully you can share my joy as I really enjoyed doing this!! Ray |

Hi Mac,
the 312 feels more chunky, top heavy(in a good way), looks more futuristic with the 1950's case. More versatile as I can do strap changes. The gmt feels solid, classy, blingy(pcl), wears comfortably. One thing to note that the 312 is much heavier than I expected it to be, at 156grams with strap on vs gmtc at 139grams with 8links. Both are fantastic and I can't say which is better, I would say that I'm very lucky to have these 2. Whenever I'm bored with either one, I can put on the other and fall in love again. I'm changing them around every 3days. Hope this gives u an idea :) cheers, Ray |

Congrats, Ray! Hope you enjoy the 312. Beautiful piece. I'm currently debating between a 312 and 351 myself :)

I tried a PAM 312 but found the straps supplied with the watch were not big enough for my wrists.
The AD said I'd have to purchase the additional length strap to fit my wrist as well as the watch. Personally I thought that was pretty poor both by the dealer not offering an extra length strap as part of the deal and by Panerai for not offering it as an alternative for those with larger sized wrists. My wrist is 8" ...what size strap would I be looking at? |

The OEM XL straps should be ok for you. I have 7,4" and i'm just ok with the regular straps that comes with the watch. Look at Heroic 18 straps also. They are really comfortable and big both in thickness and length, plus you have the option to make the length custom. |
