Bracelet Question
Was just looking at a couple of my watches today and noticed a few differences...
On all my watches the ends of the links are high polishes.. but NOT on my LV now 2 of my watches are TT models and the other is a SS/Plat YM so given their higher value I wonder is this something that is done on the more premium models... only thing throwing me off is that my SS 2003 GMT Master II the ends of the links are also polished.. but the LV was bought new from a reputable AD so I don't know what to think... is it just that the SS Sub models have brushed ends? |

The SS/Pt. Rolex has an Oysterlock bracelet, but its centre links are SOLID and POLISHED!! Centre SEL and other link on a TT Gold Sub.... Note BRUSHED finish on the inside of the GOLD links... And brushed finish on the SEL of the SS Sub (same bracelet as the LV!!)

yes that's what i thought... but my SS GMT II has a fully brushed bracelt but the ends of each link are polished...
is the GMT braclet different to other Oyster models or is it because it's an older model (2003) |

If it's the SELs, then that's strange....'cause they should be brushed too....just like ALL the remaining links on the bracelet. JJ Note the sides here which are polished...

I think you are talking about sides of the links. As in GMT Master II only the side on the links can be polished by factory.and if you are talking about end link (SEL) ot center links they never come polished from Rolex. If they are so in your watch it must be done by the jeweler and not by Rolex.

The SIDES of the LV bracelet (identical to the SS Sub-date bracelet) are BRUSHED. The SIDES of the GMT-II and TT models are POLISHED. Here's a pic of the BRUSHED side of the SS Sub bracelet (same as LV)...
