how did you get it past customs? Did you take a Rolex down there with you? Curious as I am heading to Aruba in 3 weeks and was wondering how I claim it or do I mail boxes from there?

Remember is St. Thomas, there is a huge discount for customs. I think it's $1,600 per person in your party and it can be combined. So a party of 4, for example, can purchase a $6,400 watch and not pay anything.

As far as getting a watch past customs I wear the new watch and put the box in a checked bag and the papers in another one. It's worked for me on 4 out of 4 watches and I look like a terrorist especially when I don't shave for a few days so most everyone here should be fine. |
