To me, the watch is worth $3,500 (plus or minus a service), and the rest depends on the bracelet. $4,000 - $5,000 for a good used bracelet makes the package, roughly, $8k with a very nice, used bracelet.

watch looks to have been serviced in 06, bracelet looks like new with no stretch. would 7500 be a steal?

Doesn't sound like a steal but rather a top end price for a SQ.

$3,500 is pretty low.

You could ebay the movement, crystal and dial for some amount, and then send the case and bracelet to a refiner. The case and bracelet are worth around $3,000 to $3500 in melt value.

I'd say the bottom value is about $5,000

I see DD's sans bracelet for $3,500 to $4,500 all the time. Without the bracelet, you really just have a DJ in gold. A vintage DJ in 14k or 18k will sell below $3,000, periodically.

Yup. There's quit a bit of gold in the bracelet.

Thanks guys- I DO love it. Just don't wear it as much as I should! As far as the price on these, it really depends on the condition of the head AND bracelet. I'd say anywhere from $5k on the low end to $8k on the high end give or take.

I believe that is a fair price. The service keeps it from being an $8,000 watch. I would be pretty happy with this watch and the price, myself.

If you pay more than 6-6.5 you will.
