This is a Rolex Big Crown Submariner with 369 Explorer dial from 1953 and it is very rare.

Tough to say exactly without bigger and more detailed scans. Could be a 6538 with the 3-6-9 dial, maybe a 5510.
Value? A lot!! LOL! |

Actually, I'd say it's from 1958 or thereabouts. It looks like a 5508 or 5510 Sub and it's worth probably $50,000, maybe more.
It's worth significantly less than this when it's time to get it serviced, because there are very, very few places to obtain service for a 1030 movement. Which means you will eventually have an expensive paperweight.

I like it because there is very little writing on the dial. Sheesh for that $ I can get a Pres with only ROLEX on it, but I want a work watch!

You don't want to wear that one to work Robert.

That's one of my favorites. If you can get one for a deal I would hop on it like a 40 year old virgin hops on one of JJs sheep.
