Best place to sell

Hi guys
Id like to ask for any advice on how to sell a used Rolex in the UK ?
I have a 1994 Date just bi metal that i need to get rid of so i can upgrade to an explorer 2.
Do Rolex dealers off good prices on trade ins ? or would somewhere like Ebay be my best bet.I have never really used Ebay so dont think anyone is likely to buy from me with no user rating.
Thanks for any advice you can give .

best chance of a good deal would be here and TURF. most dealers will give you a scrap price

Yeah thats what i was thinking,id like to go into a dealer with the cash so i could hit them for a real good deal.i know its hard to give a value but any idea what sort of price i shoud be asking ? ive looked on ebay and the cheapest seem to go for around £1800 .mines in great condition with the box but no papers but its recently been serviced and has a year left on the warranty from the jewlers i bought it from.

Try Sanderson and Son. They buy and sell DJs

if you have pics, we might be able to help with value a bit more. ebay is good but then you have fees there. You can always state in the listing that you are happy to meet any buyer at an Authorised Dealer for verification etc. good luck
cheers

I would suggest you read the forum rules below about selling watches via forum etc.

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=9423

And for posting pictures via a free picture host look at link below its very easy to do.

At the end of the day Ebay is not a bad place to sell . Make sure you post a maximum of clear pictures , describe the watch to the best of your ability and if you are a newbie seller offer the possibility to view , verify and deal face to face the watch in a secure environment like an AD .

No you re-read the for-sale rules like I posted for you in above link and there was only a red X in your previous posts.

ha ha well good job im not in a big hurry to sell then.
The only reason i fancy changing the DJ is because a younger girlfriend of mine said it looked a bit of an old mans watch
this set the alarm bells ringing in my 34 year old mind
