I have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Abu Dhabi. I took in the glorious Corniche, ate in some magnificent restaurants and of course popped into the local AD.

They had both the models that I am thinking about in stock. These are the TT Sub with blue face and the TT Daytona, also with blue face.

Now in Doha where I am living at the moment the AD does not offer a discount.

But in Abu Dhabi the dealer does offer a discount, but the prices are higher than in Doha so after the discount the prices are ... drum roll ... exactly the same as in Doha! Made me

my brother was on transit at doha airport last september 2010. he saw an SS SubC at QR23,845(roughly $6500) and an SS Gmt2C at QR23,560 at the rolex shop.

unfortunately when he came back after a month, the SubC was gone. then after another month, when i decided to get the Gmt2C instead, it was gone as well. up until now, they do not have stocks of the steel Sub and Gmt2. i wonder if they keep the same price once the new stocks arrives.

@OLJR,
is there a big price difference when you buy at the airport's AD vs the price at the local AD? how much is the current price of a steel SubC and Gmt2C in doha today?
