B & W P5 Headphones

Just bought a pair of Bowers & Wilkens P5 headphones and they are fantastic. They are the type that fit to your ears but do not enclose your ears. They are hi fidelity and made of quality components...and they sound great. I've heard you need to play them for a few weeks(as a break in period)and they even sound better. They are made for iPods and iPhones but you can use them on your home stereo as well...check them out!!!

I bought some about two weeks ago Leo and can endorse your recommendation, I got an app for my phone and ran them in using pink noise, just attached them to my iPhone and left it running overnight, and you are correct, IMHO, they do seem to sound better. http://simplynoise.com/

Big fan of B & W I had their speakers......if it's good enough for Abbey Rd. studios,
it's good enough for me!
But, as a born again curmudgeon, I got Grados from Brooklyn!
They look like what B-17 pilots wore, but the sound is excellent.

I miss my hi fi system so am looking at a decent computer headphone setup utilising a headphone amp with a USB Dac (maybe the Arcam rDac) I have been recommended the Grados before and it is something I will pursue. I had at one stage years ago a pair of Stax electrostatic Ear Speakers, if I went down that route it would mean that I could forgo the amp as they have a power supply, long time since I had them but the sound was to die for.

Musical fidelity make a Headphone amp with a Dac (M! series), I have read good reviews so may give it a try.

I also bought a pair P5's of back in January and I love them. If fact, I was so pleased with them that I reviewed mine on Amazon's website at:

If you care to read what I wrote about them, just scroll to the review dated Jan. 26th with the same screen name as mine on TRF: Stevarn

Is there a wireless option that you guys can recommend??

I need it for gaming and watching TV at night, but I don't want to deal with cords.

Must admit that I have no experience with wireless, seems to be some good reviews and comparisons here. http://reviews.cnet.com/wireless-headphones/

Hope that helps a little.
