Is there any way to find out how

many ROLEX watches were made of a particular model. I'm wondering cause I keep hearing the Green on Green Ceramic is so hard to find. None at my ADs none were at Ben Bridge here in town and other then mine I've never seen another one, except on here. I Would think it would be hard to pin down a number unless someone has the scoop, but historically does ROLEX keep making a particular model if they continue to sell a ton of a that model. Do they slow down production if it's selling really well and then jack up the price. And to me the serial numbers confuse me.

Friday nite and the wife flew to London so I have
nutin to do but ask questions.

And also the anniversary model of the green bezel Submariner, was that a limited production? And if it was how do you find out how many were made?

Thanks

Rolex is is the business of selling watches. The only one that they "control" the distribution is the Daytona AFAIK. That doesn't mean that they have a "limited" production. The 16610LV was a limited production and it was made for something like 7-8 years. However, there were a TON of them sold.

There is no way to find out production numbers on any of the Rolex lines of watches, but rest assured that there are MANY, MANY, MANY of each model sold.

Can I ask why do they control the distribution of Daytona? To make it more exclusive? Why Daytona?

The LV was not a limited production watch just a normal production anniversary model to celebrate 50 years of the sub.And to run along with the 16610,the LV is a normal 16610 with a maxi dial slightly broader hands and a green insert.
