Real or Fake Sub?

This sent all kinds of warning flares up, but I cannot tell if it is a fake from these poor pictures. The only thing that looks off to me is the luminiescent markers look a little large in a couple of pictures. The first one looks more normal, but it also looks like a stolen pic. I seriously doubt that it is genuine, but on the off chance it is, it could go for a ridiculous price due to how poor the ad is.

Perhaps that is the strategy of a good scammer? Get you to take a chance on a great deal. Those are brave souls bidding on this one.

My general E-Bay rule of thumb is that "if it looks dubious, it probably is." Hard to tell from those pictures, but that looks like a maxi dial on a sub. The only one that I know has that is the LV, and maybe some of the MUCH older vintage models. Guys?

Yup. I agree. The dial markers look too big. Like the dial for the 16610LV. But I don't think you can buy that dial for the 16610.

And: under 1 day left and it's still under 400 US?

Well, if it is too good to be true, it is probably too good to be true!

"I didn't find any papers for it so the watch is the only thing I have."

I wonder why?!?

Nick-
In the first picture it's the standard dial, but in the others (that look they were ACTUALLY taken by the seller) that's a maxi. Gotta be, right?

Also the Rolex logo on the winding crown looks odd and the shoulders around it look wrong too, to me.

What does he mean by "I didn't find any papers for it so the watch is the only thing I have." What kind of moron cant find the papers for his Rolex and does this indicate that there isnt a box either?????

well that in itself does not mean much. I have see some very good copies of the Rolex warranty, and it is easy to get a hold of a Rolex box. Also, there are some people who have lost their warranty papers or boxes. I just sold one of my Rolex boxes to a second hand dealer. Did not want to travel around with the extra bulk of the box, and got a pretty good deal on it. It was either sell the box or throw it away. I got $100 for the inner and outer box. The dealer liked it cause he can now put one of his second hand rolex watches in the box.
