Royal wedding and Rolex

Don´t know if it has been discussed here.
Do you know what kind of watches the royalties in England are wearing? I thought I saw a glimpse of a Rolex watch on Willams´s hand on TV yesterday. How about Kate and other members of the royalties?

He often wears the omega, but I doubt he will be wearing that on his wedding day.

Can't see why not, I've never seen him sport any other timepiece. He is maybe just a one watch guy.

LOL!

I'm glad you said it. I was thinking the same thing: "what else could they possibly have on their minds than to decide how they're going to put on this gargantuan show, including costumes, accessories, etc.?"

Prince Andrew wears a Rolex Day-date and the Queen wears an Omega as do Princes Harry and William. I don't know what the rest of them wear though

In the buildup to all this I saw a clip of Prince Andrew's wedding, which included a clear shot of his President bracelet.

Another watch note: when Diana died, the boys were allowed to take one memento each from her possessions. William took her Cartier tank watch.

Watches owned by royalty

In 1851, Patek Philippe started supplying its watches to Queen Victoria and her consort, Prince Albert. Timepieces of the Genevan manufacturer immediately attracted attention of all the royal courts of Europe. Queen Victoria acquired a key-wound Patek Philippe watch created in a pendant style in November 1851 during the Great Exhibition of London. Queen Victoria owned one more exclusive Patek Philippe timepiece to be worn pinned to clothing. This watch was suspended from a diamond and enamel brooch.[citation needed]

Diana bought William the Omega as a gift, so I am sure he will be wearing it today underneath the suit. Pretty sure Charles wears a Rolex though....

These "old money" usually doesn´t show of their wealth (no bling biling), they usually show it understated with stil and class.
We know they are rich, they don´t have/need to show their wealth.

William seems to be a one-watch-guy with his Omega.
Harry wears his military issue CWC G-10
Charles usuaaly wears an JLC Reverso or PP Calatrava

I´m sure they all have plenty of watches, they recieve plenty of gifts from companies and private persons/sheiks.

Smaller watches like the Omega mid-size (which I think is similar
size-wise to an Oyster Perpetual/Precision or Air King) are also
really very very comfortable.

I've seen William wear his Seamaster for years but I had no idea that it was a gift from Diana. Very sentimental indeed. I'd imagine he'd want to wear it forever.
