Deciding between a SS Yachty or Green Sub-C...
Hey guys... My everyday love is my DSSD, and I am now debating between a SS YM and a Green sub-c.
I LOVE the YM, I have had a couple the past few years, but flipped them... I never even considered a LVc till I saw it in person, then, WOW! Now I'm torn... Any words of wisdom? My dssd will stay my daily watch, the other will be my occasional watch. Thanks! |

I don't know that I would go with an "all green watch" for my occasional watch, but that is just me.

I have had 3 SS Yachtmasters and I never warmed up to it. I tried and as much as I tried I decided it wasn't for me...The SubC LV...Now that is whole different story!!

I would buy the LV since you have already owned the Yacht.

The LV is something but I flipped mine... I like it but it is just soooo green I am not sure I would buy it again. The YM on the other hand I love. I almost flipped it the other day but kept it and am so glad I did... Here is a vote for the YM

If you keeping flipping the YM what makes you think you would keep it this time?

Honestly guys as much as the Daytona is nice this gentleman is of bigger statue and the Daytona does not look that good on him...no offense meant! The Sub C Lv is a bigger watch

You've already gone to the YM 2 times and flipped them both, and you've gone back to the Daytona 4 times and call that a big mistake. Now your question is should you get an LV ceramic sub that "wow"s you and that you've never had before, or should you go back to the YM for the 3rd time. Sound's like an easy choice easy to me. If you go back for another YM you'll probably repeat what you done twice before.....I'd say take a shot with the LV ceramic sub if it "wow"s you....as you might end up enjoying it. Good luck!

I would say the yachty, but then again, i've never had one before either, if you already flipped the yachty twice, go with the LV this time.

If I am right I remember your post with pics of you trying on the DSSD in an AD and you make that DSSD looks like a sub!
I would go for the YM personally as I have one and the green sub is not really my cup of tea at this point. The YM has more of a contrast with your DSSD for being more of a dressier sport watch but ultimately it is still the same size as the green sub and the Daytona unless you want to wait for the 42mm Exp to come out. |

I didn't give the green Sub a thought till I was in my AD picking up a repair. There it was nestled between a DSSD and a black Sub. I had to look. The way the dial reflects the light is awesome. I made an offer and was declined, there will be no price consideration on this watch and when it's gone there will not be another. Later on I was cruisin ebay and a trusted grey dealer had one. I gave him a call with the same offer and now I have one. Out of the four subs and GMT II I own the green is getting the most wrist time. It is less flashy than the TT and different enough than the black. Go for the green.
