Help!! I'm in love with a quartz watch...
At any point in the last 5 or so years, I would have laughed if anyone said I'd be wearing a quartz watch. But yet, here I am with one on my wrist and I can't stop staring at it.
I recently picked up this Aerospace Avantage and couldn't be happier. I read a lot about the super quartz movement and the thermal compensation technology used prior to buying. These are rated to run +/- 10 sec a year. Between the quartz movement and the all Ti case & bracelet, this is by far the lightest watch I've ever owned. I'm sure I'll end up going to bed with it on by mistake more than once. The features of the watch included a chronograph, countdown timer, 2nd time zone, day/date display, alarm, and a few others. My only coplaint is that it's a bit tedious to navigate all the menus using only the crown. I think having pushers like the B1 would make it more intuitive. Not a deal breaker for me since I'll be leaving it on the day/date display at least 90% of the time. Overall, this is an amazing timepiece that I don't see it leaving my collection anytime soon. Breitling continues to impress more each time I try a new model from them. And the wrist shot: |

That's not just any old ordinary quartz...
It's a SUPER QUARTZ.
I picked up a 2nd hand (near new) Aerospace several months ago. On the 2nd hand market, they're really quite a bargain. No doubt, I'd rather have this watch on my wrist than $1500 in my pocket. I have not worn mine for several days but I'm wearing it now. It's nice to be able to strap it on without needing to set it, etc. |

I had the "old" Chronospace, which was essentially an Aerospace in a steel case with a Pro 1 bracelet. It also had a slide rule wheel similar to an EB6, but also had weights and measures. Great watch. I sold it to get a Navitimer.

Aerospace is great timepiece, quartz or no quartz!
It`s one of my favorite Breitlings ever, very comfortable and IMHO classic in it`s own right!

Only ones I would consider are the Omega X-33, Bell and Ross BR-03 Aviation (same insides as the Breitling) and the Suunto Elementum Range.

I personally am a huge fan of the Airwolf, a little on the bulky side but such a solid looking watch.
