up my GMT II, I switched to this. Yeah, yeah, I know, no way to start a Sunday for some of you...

But the good thing is, my GMT II is gonna get cleaned up and look like new, it's still my favorite watch

This is just to wear to work, cause of the type of job I have

Nothing to do with the recession, some people don't mind beating up their ROLEX, I did it like I said, for 11 years. But I'll beat something else up now. I don't have a desk job. I'm sure, although, I can't speak for Jason, who just pick up my grail, WG Blue, wouldn't wear his if he had my job. This was a mistake to start this thread...

i hear you, for the last 8 months or so, i have worn my EXPII as my daily beater, not mistreating it, but by no means does it get pampered, hasnt been serviced in over 12 years and still constistent no problems and is able to take anything i throw at it

no point in babying a Tool watch like the EXPII

No issue, I have a seiko and a swiss army when I know my hands are going to get dirty....

This is my beater on a regular basis for garage/yard work. (Until I buy a beater Sub or Explorer) It does have sentimental value as it was the first watch my wife ever gave me

I own my business and do the job of everyone on different days, so sometimes it just doesn't make sense to wear something overly nice to work either.

I even post it on the What Are you Wearing thread somedays! Don't feel bad about wearing something other than Rolex

Hey Mark, that's a good one to save your other watches. I'm hard on my watches, and there are a lot of times I will not wear my 16570. especially when outside the wire. take care.

I take your point and see the sense for a lot of people in having a beater.

On the other hand I bought a tough tool watch to use as a tool! I don't want to bust it up to prove a point but I have it on my wrist basically 24/7 so it takes the punishment I give myself.

I totally understand people wanting to look after their precious but, with the lifestyle I lead, mine would never be out of my bedside cabinet!

I bought a Rolex because I wanted to wear a Rolex.

Mine does need a lot of servicing, though, so each to his own...!

I understand perfectly. I'm going to do some cleaning stuff today, so I put on this guy whom I rarely wear. My good stuff stays in the watch box today.The best feature of this watch is the waterproof DiModell Chronissimo strap that cost more than the watch.

It's a Seiko Monster with aftermarket dial, hands, and bracelet.

Fishing...??? only thing I would worry about my ROLEX and fishing is seeing it slooooooooooooly drop 300 feet while just sitting in my fishing chair on my boat with a cold one in my hand. Now that would really suck.

Yup, I have one too.

Also have a giant android that i sometimes wear just because it is ridiculous. incidentally, my rolex is more accurate than its "Swiss Parts" quartz movement.

My work watch is the Invicta.I work in a hospital with alot of Psyc patients & it gets very physical at times so I'm not going to ruin a good watch..
