This morning's hunt at the flea market turned up a Rolex artifact sitting out on a vendor's table on top of a pile of other stuff... A small green Rolex vinyl passbook. Inside was:
1. a 32 page booklet entitled "Your Rolex"
2. Chronometer "Garantie" with serial # 3 million, filled in and dated 1974,
3. Official Chronometer certification paper in several languages. Unsigned. Folded.

Any indication on which Rolex watch these papers went might have been sold with? And what the papers and booklet might be approximately worth?

The we address is www.vintage-db.com/search.html.

You type in your serial number to see if there is a matching cert on file. You can contact them if you have a cert you'd like to place on the list.

Just a guess, but the original purchase price of the Rolex they came with could have been $348.50 !!!

That was my thought too...after seeing the price written in pencil.

By the way, I should mention that the booklet and all the papers set me back all of $5 this morning.

Yea - if you stuck that on ebay you might be able to get $100 or so. Not a bad profit for some old paper!

It's a German Rolex forum that has a section to try and reunite papers with the corresponding timepieces. Hopefully Jed sees this, and provides direction to the site.
