Glide lock clasp

Good day Gents, I currently own a Sub date 16610 purchased new in 2006. I visited my local AD yesterday to check out the new Subc 116610 a stunning watch and I am very impressed with the new glide lock clasp. My question is, would the new glide lock clasp fit my current Sub 16610.

Thanks in advance gents.

Great question but even if it fits it would be nearly impossible to get.

Sure, it will bolt right on...

As mentioned, the issue is getting your hands on one...

If there was a source, I'd fit a glidelock to all my Subs.....

X2, if I could find a glidelock clasp I'd put one on my SD. But they are impossible to find.

Along those lines, will a SubC glide lock clasp fit on my DSSD bracelet? I seem to think someone has already done it to their DS. I have no love for the long glide lock clasp that comes with the Deepsea. I'll even trade it if someone is interested.

Thanks.

I seem to remember reading that someone had done exactly that. I think it made life a little difficult when he wanted to sell the DSSD.

Have you tried removing the fold out extension link? That makes it much more comfortable.

Just came across in HK an old Oyster with its clasps replaced. The owner clearly regretted the act for the resale value of his treasure was greatly reduced. If it works...

Ok guys here is another thought; I intend to keep my Sub date 16610 so would it be possible to purchase the easy link bracelet that belongs to the GMT11c and fit it to the Sub? I appreciate it that it would be an expensive option but I would love to improve on the flip lock clasp.

Thanks in advance guys

I occassionally use my sub bracelet in my GMTIIC so presumably I can do the other way around...
