Were you able to save the crystal by buffing it out?

Very cool! Do you plan to source a pearl for the bezel or just leave it as is?

Well guys, I didn't do too much to it, it's a one owner watch that I believe was never serviced that I picked up from a fellow on VRF, it's never been polished so that's what made me decide to pick this one up. I got the watch and it was in not too great shape so I did a little cleaning myself. I popped off the bezel and took off what appeared to be 45 years of encrusted crud underneath. The previous owner decided to fill the pearl hole with what looked like silicone, so I cleaned it all up. I sourced a set of hands which were from another 5513 and the match is pretty good, not perfect as the tone is a bit off but the best I could find. I also sourced a pearl which should be here shortly. Apart from that I sent it to my watchmaker to get the hands installed and polish out the original superdome. I had him put a new gasket on it but didn't get it serviced or pressure tested since I want to get a dry test done and he hasn't got the machine. I opted not to have the service done on it quite yet and plan to have one done in the fall when he has less work. My watchmaker said the movement is fantastic and running great from what he can tell. I have timed it and it's about +/- 2 sec a week! The bracelet is a nice NOS C & I riveted which I picked up that still had the original 12 links and was never put on a watch before. All in all it's a great piece. Thanks for the comments guys.
